Cinque Tera, Italy

Cinque Tera is beautifully placed along the jagged coast of the Italian Riviera and is made up of "The Five Lands" which are five picturesque cities along the coast. Hiking from village to village you see beautiful greens and blues of the ocean and soon you are upon a village just like this one. Colorful, full of light, friendship and food and wine until the wee hours of the morning. Bella, Bella, Bellissimo! {painted silk}

Positano, Italy

All over the beaches of Positano were smooth pieces of sea glass sparkling in the sun. The blue water in the background and thee giant fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwiches made it difficult to leave this quiet little paradise. But I'll be back. {painted silk with wax resists}

Venice, Italy

From the indigo colors in the Blue Grotto of Capri (Grotta Azzurra) to the teal waters flowing through the Venice canals; blue and green hues are everywhere. Calming and relaxing next to the sea, I enjoyed delicious meals that lasted all night and met wonderful people over delicious red wines. {painted silk with wax resist}

Florence, Italy

The architecture in Florence caught my eye as did all of the wonderful art. Il Duomo, Michelangelo's David, and all of the amazing art museums. Plus we dined with real life mafia men who literally said they worked in "waste management." It was quite an experience. {painted silk with wax resist}

Rome, Italy

Rome is a magnificent place rich with history and life. Vespa's fly around the streets, gelato is everywhere, padres search for priestly clothes and the architectural history is everywhere you look. I loved Italy. I will be back. {painted silk with sharpie ink}
