EMILY STRAND // STRANDED TEXTILES
Emily Strand is a textile designer based in New York with a background in advertising and graphic/web design. She creates her colorful designs by incorporating a range of techniques, materials, painting styles and resists into her design process. Inspired by her travels, Emily strives to capture the colors, movement and cultures of the places she visits through her designs.

In addition to textile design, Emily collaborates with her mother Suzanne to create colorful dresses from her designs to fill her closet and remind her of her travels. From Emily’s first doll to the custom gown she wore to the Emmys, every piece Suzanne has created for Emily has been adorned with a lucky little red ladybug. The tradition continues now as they collaborate to create fun and memorable dresses. The signature lucky ladybug button is part of every Stranded design and is symbolic of their creative collaboration together.
